Interview: Personal Trainer Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos Rodriguez is personal trainer and fitness coach. For fashion week Berlin he worked with SMC as personal model coach. Giving advise, tips for diet and a perfect training were his tasks Fashion Week. Now we wanna know what´s the key to his success. He gave us a look in his fitness world.

What is your motivation when doing sports?


Carlos: Feeling the desire to live, know, learn, innovate, experience, find the positive, mind body balance.
It's my time and I want to use it to the fullest to share with my clients, friends, family, …… Sport S2 Life (www.sports2life.com)
THINK BIG, BELIEVE BIG ACT BIG AND THE RESULTS WILL BE BIG


What about you personally: How do you stay fit and healthy with such a busy schedule?


Carlos: Perseverance, commitment, effort, illusion .... RESULTS
Every morning I wake up very early to train and meet all the job duties and compromises of the day: training, master classes, photo shoots, meetings, events, travel, ....
Whenever I travel I carry my clothes training and my TRX . I just need the city or Park to enjoy training.
It is very important to plan to make the most of the day.
FIT IS NOT A DESTINATION IT IS A WAY OF LIFE
EAT GOOD, TRAIN HARD, LIVE PASSIONATELY, SLEEP WELL AND………. REPEAT


What about diet? Any specific guidelines you stick to?


Carlos: During week due to my work I follow a routine that allows me to be always active
Without question, nutrition is the most important. Represents the success of the training along with the rest.
As I'm Spanish defend the Mediterranean diet: Eat everything I balanced way!
I keep active stomach eating every 3 hours, 5/6 meals a day, carbohydrates in the morning with fruit, cereal grains, proteinshake ISO (after training)
Meal of vegetables (tomato, asparagus, spring garlic, hearts of palm, arugula, lamb's lettuce, carrots) or legumes (lentils) with Protein Fish, pork, chicken, turkey, red meat.
Midday and afternoon fruit (Apple, ananas, grapes, Grapefruit) and tee (green, brown, blue, white)
Dinner soft tomato, asparagus and grilled fish normally
Drink plenty of water and teas that help us strengthen our defenses, provide vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, have our clean interior and refined.
All days Vitamins and Glutamine morning (avoid catabolic effect)
Weekend is different……….
I JUST DON´T WANT TO LOOK BACK AND THINK “I COULD´VE EATEN THAT!

What foods are always in your fridge?


Carlos: In my house there is always eggs, fresh fruit, vegetables, legumes, whole grains and seed (fiber breads, muesli, wasa bread, ....), spices (oregano, pepper, curry, chili, rosemary , anis, ...) turkey, ham, tuna, mussels, cockles, chicken, turkey, red meat, fish of the day, olive oil and very important wine... hahahahahah

What's your fitness philosophy when training clients?


Carlos: I define myself as a Health Coach, working mind body balance.
The goal is health through a lifestyle based on enjoying what we do not set ourselves unachievable challenges, enjoy not compare with anyone, be constant, commit ... all through sports nutrition relax.

  1. Thanks for all the advices. I really hope that i'll find a personal trainer soon. Need to work on me and i don't see me working out without a personal trainer. Just can't motivate myself! That's why i also expect the personal trainer zürich to motivate me.
